I am going to add a few random activities that we have been doing today.
The first was an ice cream factory and was a massive hit! I used Peppa Pig soap spray and squirted it in the centre of the tuff tray. in the cups, I mixed some water and food colouring. Then I found some glitter sprinkles that I had stashed. I added some pipettes, ice cream cones and silicone cake cases. Both children spent ages making ice creams. Scooping the foam into the cones and adding “flavours”.
As we have been reading the Hungry Caterpillar, we decided to make some smoothies using the fruit in the book and discuss healthy eating.
We ended up pouring these into ice cream moulds and having lollies. Explaining the freezing process was a challenge!
I also set up our small water tray for 5 little speckled frogs. I poured in some water beads. And cut out a lily pad and log from some foam I had. I added some frogs and some cheap fish tank plants (from Ebay).
I actually didn’t give any input for this at all and was upstairs. I then heard M singing “5 little speckled frogs” which I had intended doing with her. But as she was quite happy to do it alone, I left her for a bit whilst I sorted the washing!
G has been playing with it this morning. Hunting for the frogs and jumping up and down when he finds them.
